All instructors have experience in one or more of the correction fields. The Corrections programs operates with the cooperation and participation of nearby corrections agencies, and numerous Solano College corrections students have been employed in the field or have served as professional interns. Courses are scheduled both day and night to accommodate full-time or part-time students seeking to acquire or upgrade skills in the corrections field.

Your education and training will help qualify you for many skilled and professional positions in local, state and federal correctional agencies. Experienced correctional personnel may be promoted to fill positions as supervisors, administrators, and special project directors.

Your New Skills
You will survey correctional aspects of the criminal justice system from historical and contemporary perspective and review career opportunities.
